How do deposits work?

Deposits are processed securely through Paysafe. You can pay with a debit/credit card, bank transfer (ACH), Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Funds appear in your wallet after confirmation.

How do withdrawals work?

After your first deposit, your payment profile is created with Paysafe. You can then withdraw your available balance to a card or bank account at any time.

What happens if my opponent disconnects?

If a match result can be verified via the game API (e.g., Lichess, Chess.com), the result is settled automatically. Otherwise, you can submit your result and, if uncontested for 24 hours, it is auto-confirmed.

How are disputes resolved?

Either player can open a dispute and submit evidence (screenshots, game links, etc.). A WagerMe administrator reviews the evidence and issues a binding resolution.

What is the platform fee?

WagerMe charges a 1% fee on the winner's payout. There are no hidden fees on deposits or withdrawals.

Which games are supported?

Chess wagers are live on Lichess and Chess.com with full API verification. More game wagers are on the roadmap — request your favorite title on our Request a Game page. Unsupported games can use the generic self-report handler.

Is my money safe?

All wagered funds are held in escrow via a double-entry ledger system. Your balance is tracked independently from escrow holds, and withdrawals go directly to your connected bank account.

Why do I need to verify my location?

WagerMe uses geofencing to ensure wagering is only available in permitted jurisdictions. Location is checked at wager creation — we don't track you continuously.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Dashboard → Account and use the delete account option. You'll need to confirm with your password. Any remaining balance should be withdrawn first.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

Click "Forgot password" on the login page, enter your email, and follow the link in the email we send you. The link expires after 1 hour.
